In Thailand, there are no more than 25 professional bird watching guides. For our company, we have 7-9 full-time and freelance guides. When you intend to buy our services, it is necessary for you to book a tour at least 6-8 months in advance so that we have a guide queue for your tour.
Local Guide
We need to hire local guide in some locations or for certain specie of birds client want to see. Local guide fee may or may not be included in the tour fee. Birds we often use local guides for include: Spoon-billed Sandpiper at Khok Kham, Pak Thale, Frogmouth at Sri Phang Nga, Birds spot in Chiang Rai.
Trainee Guide
We have trainee guides who want to become professional bird guides in the future. They have medium bird watching skills and can take you to watch birds. Some speak English very well and some are not fluent. Their daily wage is not high compared to professional guides. You can choose them in these tour programs: Guide Mac in Bangkok, Guide Ryan in Khao Yai, Guide Ma Deaw in Krabi
Thailand has many famous foods and fruits with delicious flavors in every region. We intend to let everyone enjoy every dish, every menu.We mainly choose quality restaurants, excellent service and atmosphere. If there is a Michelin-star restaurant or a famous Thai chef in that area, our guide will definitely take you to taste it. In addition to Thai food, we also serve customers with European, Chinese, Japanese, vegetarian, vegan, or as requested.
In some tour programs, it is necessary to leave the accommodation early in the morning or in some areas there is no restaurant for lunch, such as Doi San Chu, Doi Lang, Huai Kha Khaeng. Our guides and drivers will provide picnic tables with chairs for you. Hot and cold drinks are served all day long, Twining brand tea, fresh coffee from the North of Thailand, chocolate, snacks and seasonal local fruits.
We provide mineral water Mont Fleur and Soft drink and Tea, Coffee, Juice and refreshing towels on every tour. Customers can drink and use unlimited amounts per day throughout the trip. Not included all alcohol.
We prioritize 3-6 star accommodation as follows:
- A. Accommodation located not far from bird watching spots
- B. Accommodation with a good reputation
- C. Accommodation with beautiful decoration, clean, safe and excellent service
The driver team and vehicles that provide services to guests are excellent. The drivers are highly experienced. The vehicles are regularly checked and cleaned after each tour. We do not use a guide to drive and provide birding services at the same time because it is risky to cause accidents as such taking eyes off the road, feeling sleepy, not being able to concentrate on talking to guests, not being able to clean vehicle, or having to do too many things at once.
We are confident that we are the only tour in Thailand that does this.
Number of people per vehicle
- 1-2 guests, we will be served by a 4-door Ford Ranger Wildtrek or a van (*)
- 3-5 guests or more, we will be served by a Toyota van
-
(*) Depending on the tour program and location

Packing for Thailand
Thailand has a hot climate and high humidity. (Winter 20 C, Rainy 30C., Summer 35-40 C.) The humidity depends on the region and location. For example, the North is cooler than any other region and has less humidity because it is under the Himalayan region. The South of Thailand is hot and humid and has more humidity because it is near the equator. As a result, all environments from the ground level to the altitude of 1,800 m. have many types of mosquitoes and many types of bees and insects that like to suck the sweat from the human body.
Clothes : Therefore, you should wear long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and socks made of light fabric that can wick away moisture and air. Jeans are not recommended In big cities such as Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, the weather is very hot. You can wear short-sleeved shirts and short pants.
Rain jacket should be prepared during May to November. However, some years there are rainstorms in January, but it is very rare.
Jackets and windbreakers
Should be brought between December and February for use on all mountaintops in the North. In some national parks in the Central region, such as Kaeng Krachan, Khao Yai, which are 900 mls., the weather will be cold only in the morning
Laundry : The tour program will choose to stay at a hotel that provides laundry service and will stay in the same place for two to three days, alternating between stay one night so that you can send your laundry. The price in Thailand is quite cheaper (5 - 13 THB./item) to send your laundry to a 3-star hotel than to a 4-6 star hotel.(20 - 45 THB./item)
Walking Shoes : You should prepare two types of shoes. The first type is waterproof for trekking or sport shoes. You can choose low top or high top shoes. The second is casual shoes or sandal. In Thailand, You can wear them in the car during long trips or walk in the hotel or use them to walk into shopping malls, temples, museums, bars, coffee shops, almost all types of restaurants from 1 to 6 stars (some hotels do not provide slippers in the room or charge money).
Swim Gear and Training Gear : Larges hotels will have swimming pools and fitness room. Some of our tour programs will have swimming pools. You should bring your swimming suit for tours that require bird watching on the Similan Islands in Phang Nga Province (look for Nicobar Pigeon) or for your private vacation at a hotel with a swimming pool or a hotel by the sea, such as Phuket or Krabi. However, it is not necessary for normal tours because bird watching and bird photography tours usually take a full day. You go to watch birds early in the morning and return to the hotel in the early evening, leaving you with little time to swim. However, for those who need to maintain their fitness by swimming, muscle training it may be necessary.

Thailand is very safe, almost no robbers smashing car windows to steal things in the car, robbing tourists' cars or kidnapping like in some countries in Europe and South Africa. Most of our drivers will stay with the car all the time to prevent things from being stolen. They do not have the behavior of stealing. While walking around the city, there is a chance that thieves will punch and run away to snatch bags. Please be careful when walking along the road or riding in a tuk-tuk (without windows), but it happens rarely. For bird watching in the forest, those chances are zero. There are many police officers and good citizens in Thailand. They are kind and helpful to tourists almost everywhere. Emergency Police number 191
Road accidents
Thailand has the highest number of accidents caused by motorcycles. Cars are second. The cause is drunk driving or reckless driving. It happens all the time. But for our company's tours, it has never happened even once. Our drivers drive at a reasonable speed and are very careful. Emergency Ambulance number 1669
Safety Meals & Drink
All meals are served cooked to order or hot all the time, so you can be sure that it is safe enough to eat and we choose clean and safe restaurants. But what our customers often getdiarrhea from is not washing their hands before eating or unclean ice.
Ice : You can drink ice from big restaurants or 5-6 star hotels, but we do not recommend drinking ice from general stores because it may not be clean from the source of production. It will cause diarrhea.
For restaurants that serve fresh vegetables such as salads or side dishes, you can only eat at restaurants with the quality recommended by the tour guide or very big restaurants or 5-6 star hotels only.
Internal flights offer you Premium Seats or emergency exit seats. so you can get a wide seat, with space for your knees to avoid hitting the seat in front of you, and get on and off the plane before other passengers. The airlines we choose are Thai Airways, Bangkok Airways, Thai Air Asia (special with red carpet, fast pass)
